Have Your Say

Welcome to Lyngford Park Surgery

Lyngford Park Surgery serves the population of North Taunton as well as it's surrounding villages. We offer a full general practice service 5 days a week and specialist clinics are held for pregnant women and patients with long term conditions such as diabetes, asthma and coronary heart disease. We also undertake minor surgery, coil fittings and contraceptive implants. We have a team of clinicians, reception and administrative staff and we are approved by Health Education England as a training practice to provide specialist training to doctors.

Please note: The surgery will be CLOSED on Tuesday 18th January 2022 between 13:00 and 14:00 for staff training.

We politely ask that you do not contact the surgery regarding COVID-19 boosters. You will be contacted when it is your turn to receive the vaccine.

2021 Flu Clinics - we are now booking appointments for the 2021 flu clinics. Please contact our reception team on 01823 333355 to make your appointment, or enquire whether you are eligible. This year, all patients aged 50 and over by 31.03.2022 are eligible for a flu vaccine from September.

COVID-19 BOOSTER PROGRAMME - update from Somerset Local Medical Committee.

Across Somerset the NHS and its partners are working extremely hard to roll out the COVID-19 booster vaccination programme to our communities.

All adults are eligible from Monday 13 December, and you will be able to book via the National Booking System from Wednesday 15 December.

You can book your booster for 3 months from the date of your second vaccine, and you can access the National Booking System to book the appointment from 2 months.

We are working at a pace to increase availability of appointments so that there are plenty of options for people on the National Booking System. Some local vaccination services may also contact patients directly.

New appointments are being added every day across our vaccination services. Further availability will come online from Wednesday 15 December.

We will be working with all of our sites to take further steps to increase what they can offer, including opening later and on more days.

All of these appointments will be added to the National Booking System and so we encourage everyone who is aged 18 and over, is yet to have their booster and who is approaching 3 months from your second vaccine to use the National Booking System to arrange your appointment when you are able to do so.

In terms of any planned appointments with Lyngford Park Surgery, there are no changes at the current time and everyone should attend your planned appointments as normal. If we do need to make any changes, we will contact you directly.

See more about the vaccination programme in Somerset, including the vaccination servicies: Somerset Coronavirus Vaccinations.

Large vaccination centres are offering walk-in clinics for 12-15 year olds, as well as opening up a significant number of bookable vaccination slots. This is in addition to the opportunity for children from 12-15 to be vaccinated at their schools.

You can find out which centres are offering walk-in clinics for 12-15 year olds on the "grab-a-jab" website.

You can also book vaccination appointments for 12-15 year olds through the National Booking Service website or by calling 119.

This is especially important at the moment, when so many people are worried about COVID, vaccinations, and if it's still ok to see a doctor. We'd like to hear from you, so contact

111 First

Thank you for being patient. Now that lockdown is lifting, our surgery is experiencing very high numbers of patients trying to contact us. We are doing all we can to answer your queries as quickly as we can, but please be patient and understanding if it takes a while for us to answer the phone or for you to be seen for an appointment.

While face-to-face appointments continue to be offered to those based on clinical need - many issues can be resolved during a phone consultation without patients having to travel to the surgery. The practice team will direct you to the most appropriate healthcare team for your needs. #HelpUsHelpYou.
